Wiseled
Wiseled is growing, and while we’re still a small company, we decided to implement a quality management system that could grow with us. Some aspects may feel like a bit much right now—but not for long.
Procedures were kept in folders. Non-conformities and cases tracked using Microsoft Excel. Maintenance managed through Monday. A lot of things were handled manually when I first started, which at the time suited the organization just fine. But it quickly became clear we needed a scalable management system—one employees could actively use and update themselves. Otherwise, we risk losing oversight as we grow. Fortunately, our leadership was on board with investing in IPW, which I had experience with from a prior role where I managed a major system restructuring.
Built from Scratch. In-House
I set up the system myself using form templates as a starting point, then expanded it with our departments and staff to include the fields and tools we felt were missing. The system supports all aspects of our workflow and is set up according to ISO 9001. For each new document, the relevant clauses must be entered, which makes audit planning super simple. Another helpful change for us was pulling data directly from IPW into Power BI, instead of viewing it through Microsoft Excel.
Progress that drives itself
We went live very quickly, and the initiatives have all been received very well by management, staff, and customers. There are still areas we can improve on to make things easier for ourselves. Pernille, our Key Account Manager at IPW, regularly checks in to keep us on track. Their focus on our success is unmistakable. And honestly, once you get into the system and take advantage of the webinars and support videos, it all becomes surprisingly easy and intuitive.
