“IPW is the quality management system of the future. Totally superior.”

Alex Christensen – QHSE Manager, Caljan A/S

Caljan A/S

At Caljan, we are looking at 20% growth per year and are constantly scaling up with new employees. With increasing production in several countries and upcoming ISO certifications, we wanted a quality management system that could handle everything, regardless of one’s location.

Embracing the Future: Caljan’s Shift from Fragmented Files to IPW’s Unified Platform

Until last year, we kept our instructions in Notes, templates, and files scattered across our server. It was overwhelming and made it nearly impossible to locate anything. So, when we decided to obtain an ISO certification our perspective was long term: What is required to handle an annual growth of 20 percent, manage production, sales, and service across various countries, and meet the demands of customers for quality, sustainability, and environmental management? This demanded quite the management system, and we would essentially be starting from scratch. Over the years, I have explored many different quality management systems and even developed some myself.

Upon searching the market and checking references, I had no doubt that IPW is the system of the future. We started by creating a user-friendly platform in IPW Polaris. Now, we are in the process of mapping all processes and instructions in IPW, and we are ISO 9001 certified in Denmark and Latvia.

Navigating Growth and Globalization: Caljan’s Strategic Leap into IPW for Quality and Consistency

We have also implemented the IPW Maintenance module and have already registered 1,300 pieces of equipment. This is going to be a huge aid in budgeting and planning for mandatory inspections and calibrations. Now, we are continuing to develop document management and internal audits. I recently had 18 employees, who will be document-responsible, complete an online training with live instructions, recap, and tests. This is convenient when you have various roles and are located in different countries.

Once we achieve complete control of document management and internal audits, we will create additional forms to facilitate the transition of all departments to IPW.
